The element of Water.

The Chinese element of water is strongly connected to matters of finance and commerce. traditionally, those borin in a water year tended to be tax collectors, merchants, landlords, bankers, accountants and those who looked after warehouses. Today, the results of the water influence are much the same. This does not mean that water types are always successful with money, but if they fo lose a lot they tend somehow to recoup it. In addition to their fiscal acumen, water types are intuitive and communicative. The water element tends to soften a character, making someone more tolerant. Their flowing case of expresion is often envied, but their feelings are sensitive and water people are easily hurt.

Yang Water.

River people have excellent public-relations skills and are natural diplomats who are able to diffuse the most difficult of situations. They are clever at spotting the main chance and their talent ensures that they make the most of it, but sometimes they don't know when to stop working. River types have the knack of spotting a gap in the market and then filling it; they're also very good at transforming an ailing business into a thriving concern. In affairs of their heart, river people may play fast and loose - some may be quite promiscuous. A notable age gap between lovers is often a feature of this type's sex life.

Yin Water.

Although 'fishing net' types are more gentle, intuitive and emotionally vulnerable than others, their ever-present knack for business and finance remains. They are less independent than their river counterparts, however, which means that a career in a large organisation would be preferable to going it alone. If hey receive encouragement, these people can become very successful. 'Fishing-net' types tend to hide their true feelings, which makes them difficult to work out. They are typically extremely romantic, sincere, loyal in their affections and very sexy indeed. However, many are used and abused in relationships and should learn to value themselves more highly if they want to win the respect of others.
