Being born in a metal year will make you determined, unyielding of purpose and somewhat hard. Once you have decided on a course of action, you will stick to it come what may, even when it becomes obvious that you should have let go a long time ago. You will be more independent than other elemental types and will be unwilling to rely on others - there are dangers in being too self-contained, however, so open up a little. The trait of being self-willed and a lawunto youself probably derives from this element traditionally having been ascribed to the emperor of China, as well as members of this court - grand people who were definitely both of these things.
Yang Metal. This type is a natural aristocrat, or at least appears so. The steel person will easily win respect and admiration, but may tend to put on some airs and graces while doing so. Status is very important to this type, and many have had something of a head-start in life, their families having provided them with all of the tools necessary for their later gains. Even if this is not the case, people of stell wil progress up the ladder of success very quickly indeed. Romantically, stell types are as determined in this arena as they are in all others, but once they have conquired their goal they may become bored and may swiftly move on. Yin Metal. Like their steel counterparts, ornament types are natural aristocrats, although the charm and noblesse oblige that this role implies is more to the fore in them than in steel types. Fair play and idealism are very important to these types, who eill fight for right and are often involved in social movements and good causes. In romance, ornament types are rahter brittle and tend to shy away from commitment. Although they are thoughtful and prone to making locing gestures, under that skimmy, metallic exterior they really want to be independent loving gestures. |
