With their placid, gentle and retiring demeanor, it is almost impossible to dislike someone born in the year of the pig. Don’t be fooled, however; inside lies a will of iron and a swift assessment of other people’s motives. Their honesty often being taken as naivety, Pig people sometimes appear gullible and overly trusting, their awareness of their own sincerity often leading them to believe that others are equally sincere. Indeed, it is the rare pig who has not suffered from advantage-takers at some stage in their lives. On a more positive note, Pig personalities are intelligent, dutiful and extremely capable. They prefer the status quo and will not rock the boat unless they are forced to do so. Pigs are intensely loyal to their families and close friends and can be very generous to those they love, denying themselves personal luxuries in order to do so (which may be why pigs are frequently obsessive bargain-hunters). Pigs are also extremely sensual, a trait that some particularly amorous Pigs may take too far.
